FAQ

Where are you located?

My practice is exclusively virtual, for folks in the states of New York, Connecticut, and Michigan. Telehealth sessions take place on Psychology Today, a secure HIPAA compliant platform.

How long is a session?

45-50 minutes

Do you take insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider for clients located in New York or Connecticut. If you have questions surrounding why I am, or what it means to be, an out-of-network provider, I’m happy to discuss further. I am in-network with BCBS, Aetna, and Cofinity for clients in Michigan.

How can I prepare for my session?

Get comfy in a private space. If possible, it can be useful to take your session in a different area from where you work. Have water and tissues at hand, maybe even a notebook if there’s something we discuss that you feel compelled to jot down. I also strongly encourage you to put your phone on airplane mode, so you can stay as present as possible.

Do you prescribe medicine?

No, I do not prescribe medication. If, after working together for some time, we decide that medication might be appropriate, I collaborate with some wonderful psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners that I can refer you to and collaborate with on your treatment.

What if I need to cancel?

If you’re unable to make it to a session, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel with less than 24-hour’s notice, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session. I understand life/emergencies happen and am as flexible as possible to accommodate for this.

How do I know if it’s a good fit?

Finding a therapist you really feel strongly connected with is the foundation of any good therapy. It typically takes about 3 sessions to determine if it’s a good match.
